About Reclaim Roxbury:
Reclaim Roxbury is a community organization dedicated to improving the quality of life and economic wealth for Roxbury residents by preventing displacement and supporting economic development. Since 2015 we have organized Roxbury residents to make sure public land is developed according to a community led vision. We are continuing to build upon our success in winning the 2019 Plan:Nubian Sq standards and serve as a watch dog organization that is a trusted community source on breaking local development, housing policy, and other civic news. We organize residents year round to build power to prevent displacement in Roxbury and advance fair housing policies.
About the Position:
In partnership with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MACEC) EmPower Program, Reclaim Roxbury is hiring a Mass Save Navigator to assist the organization in advancing its Mass Save Navigator program goals throughout 2025 with the possibility of extending the contract through 2026.
The Mass Save Navigator will report to and work in concert with the Organizing Director to conduct community outreach and awareness campaigns, schedule Home Energy Assessments for community homeowners, be onsite for said assessments to supervise and record experiences, and input data for reports to be shared with MACEC.
Mass Save Navigator training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Conduct community outreach and education activities about the benefits and mechanics of Home Energy Assessments and the benefits of Massachusetts Low Income Home Energy Assistance Programs (LIHEAP) and Weatherization Assistance Programs (WAP).
Assist residents and homeowners with any technical questions and needs related to Home Energy Assessments (HEAs) and the Mass Save program.
Assist homeowners in scheduling HEAs; be available for onsite supervision and data collection during scheduled HEAs.
Submit all grant-required data in the form of reports to Mass Save program administrators.
Qualifications:
Experience: Experience and knowledge of housing, home energy efficiency, and home improvement preferred but not required.
Location: Must be a current or former resident of Roxbury within the last 5 years
Language(s): Fluent in Spanish, Haitian Creole, and/or Somali is desirable but not preferred.
Key Competencies:
Experience in customer service, event planning and coordination, and data reporting preferred but not required.
Mass Save Navigators will be required to attend all Mass Save Navigator trainings and travel to supervise Home Energy Assessments
Hours & Compensation:
Mass Save Navigators is a part-time position, and the Navigator will be expected to complete at least fifteen (15) hours per week towards completing their assigned duties, and will be compensated at a rate of $20 per hour to be paid weekly.
Timeline:
This position is currently funded for 10 months (March - November 2025) of part-time work for the current fiscal year. Over these months, the Navigator will:
Be onboarded and trained as to what is required of the role and how to support residents Mass Save and BCEC related questions and supervise HEAs;
Will work with the Organizing Director to outline a work plan, including proposed community outreach activities and engagement opportunities;
Work with the Organizing Director to conduct said activities and opportunities, assist residents with program-related questions, schedule and supervise HEAs, and record quantitative data and resident feedback on the program via reports;
Work with the Organizing Director to consolidate all program-related data and prepare the information for submission as per our grant requirements. See an outline of the timeline below.

April - November 2025 — Community Outreach and Engagement, scheduling HEAs
December 2025 — Reporting period
